Objectives
Upon completing this course, employees should:
- Understand why OSHA and other government organizations require containers of hazardous materials to be labeled.
- Recognize the four labeling systems most often used to identify hazardous materials in the United States.
- Know what information must be included on labels used to identify hazardous chemicals.
- Be able to identify the hazards associated with various substances by reading the information on their labels.
- Know the requirements for labeling containers of hazardous waste.
