This course presents fundamental information on guarding against exposure to bloodborne pathogens in commercial and industrial facilities.
Objectives
Upon completing the course, employees should:
- Understand the health hazards presented by bloodborne pathogens, including the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C.
- Understand the policies and procedures that their facility should follow to control exposure to bloodborne pathogens on the job.
- Know specific procedures and personal protective equipment that they should use to protect themselves and their coworkers from exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
